Totally Ticked Tabby on Tuesday

Kitties,

Do your people ever go to work or go out and not come home when they are expected?
Do they leave you alone ALL day with nothing but bird TV and a few measly crunchies?
THEN NOT COME HOME WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO!

4t1

Kitties, this happened to me yesterday!

My Mom was 3 hours late coming home from work!

From the moment she got in the door, while she got me stinky treats, changed into comfy clothes, cleaned my litter boxes, got the garbage ready for pickup tomorrow and making her supper, I — Marvelous — chastised her for her negligence!

She gave me some song and dance routine about meetings and work, but I was not deterred! Then she told me they were all going to get next week off to “recharge” as January and February were going to be super busy. I LIKE the next week off thing…

Dancing

That means she will be all mine for 2 weeks! I LIKE that!

When she finally sat down on the sofa, I DEMANDED she put her feet up and I laid on her leg so she could not get up!

I made her stay there until her supper was cooked. Then I tried to eat off her plate and brought her Ratty to throw a million times.

At 8:30 I told her in no uncertain terms it was time for us to go to bed and cuddle, and for once she did not argue with me

Purrhaps I WILL forgive her, IF she comes home at a decent hour tonight.

  1. I know that… they say I’m back soon and then you wait for 87 hours… or more… but she will be at home soon with you for 2 weeks… and maybe she likes it to be together with you that she takes the next two weeks off too?

OMC Marv, it’s a wonder you haven’t been driven to rat destuffing or climbing the walls… or the Christmas tree. In protest and a total display of angst!!! Hope ‘she’ gets back on time tonight. Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx

  11. Marv, when I am late getting home to my kitties I am not happy about it either. I would much rather be home with my kitties than at a meeting ! I bet your Mom feels the same way..

I read Nellie’s privacy post. I am so sorry she has had troubles.

    Purrs.

  12. Marv, you had better get your Mama trained right from the start , or things could go awry rather quickly . . .you know, give them an inch . . . .
But TWO weeks off . . .that will give you plenty of time to get your ducks lined up ;p

  13. I don’t know what’s worse … being gone all day … or being home all day and being ignored! I swear! Do they really need so much sleep?!? Humans must sleep like 18 hours a day!!! Sounds like you have your Mom under control, Marv. Then again, who could resist that face?!?

  15. Waiting for your humans is hard, Marv! Gracie says she hates it when we come home later than expected, too.

We LOVE our Holiday Graphic of Gracie. Thank you and Mommy so, so much!

  16. HEY Kiddo, mes posting for Katie Isabella,
    Kisses your Nellie Bellie
Marv, you have her VERY well in paw. I can see it. I have my mom also in good keeping...doing as I trained her. It too you hardly any time at all to get your mommy all ready to obey the household edicts you have set forth. You face is absolutely the single most expressive any mancat has in the whole CB. I know I have said that before but it is amazing how you smile and how cosmopolitan you look. The LadyCats will be storming your door when you are a grown up man cat one day.

  17. Marvelous! No wonder you were upset if she was LATE getting home but the fact she will be off ALL NEXT WEEK is absolutely wonderful! Lots of “Ratty” throwing, and treat giving, and naps and cuddling so doesn’t that help ease the pain of her being late once in a while? YAY!!!!!!!!

    Love, Teddy

  18. Um, that’s the story of my life, Marv. TW will go off and say she’ll be gone an hour or two and then doesn’t come home till the sun is down. And Pop, he sometimes leaves for work at 7 a.m. instead of 8:30 so we get no morning bonding time.
