What was he thinking?!? THAT is what Mommy was saying on Caturday.

Mommy was getting ready to goes to a furrend’s Son’s wedding and one of her other  furrends– Ms J–came over to helps her gets dressed. Mes thinks that some of those things lady people’s wears to “keeps everything from flopping around” needs 2 hands.

Anyway, Ms J went out to her car to gets her dress to puts on. The front door did not quite close…

Mes was watching…when the door blew open, mes told Marvelous, “Nows your chance to sees the world outside the townhouse!”

Marv runned out the front door! When Mommy came down the stairs, she freaked out! The door was open! Where was Marv? She closed the door and then she runned around the house checking all his favorite hiding spots…NO MARV!

Mommy then walked around the townhouses and called Marv’s name. She finally decided she would has to stays at home and miss the wedding and she sended Ms J on her way to picks up Ms A who was going with them.

Mommy was furry upset. She sitted in a lawn chair by the front door with the door wide open and shaked some of Marv’s jingly toys.

Meanwhile…where was Marv?

He was scared and hiding in the rose bushes across the street from the Townhouse and in front of the big highway. Every time a big truck rolled down the highway he would get closer to the road and every time a car came down the road, he would get further in the bushes.

hiding

Finally he decided outside was not so much fun. He comed out of the rose bushes and started across the street and a big metal car beast came roaring towards him and blared it’s horn…He shot through the cedar hedge and into the open door of the townhouse, up the 3 flights of stairs and into his sanctuary UTB!!!

As he blazed past Mommy…she was so furry happy! All the sadness and fears of the last hour lifted from her! Mommy went upstairs and Marv comed out from UTB and Hugged Mommy, Mommy Hugged him back.

happy

Mommy called Ms J and she comed back, helped Mommy get dressed and Ms A, Ms J and Mommy all went to the wedding.

Mommy says MES is the devil on Marv’s shoulder! Does yous agree?

Today, wes is also at Awe Mondays at Comedy Plus

  1. Marv, come clean, this wasn’t a great idea was it? Admit it – this won’t happen again – WILL IT? Your poor mum was beside herself (I would be too).

I think an apology to mum is in order……

  2. Heck, Marvelous, I really do hope you never ever do that again. Your poor mom would have been so upset if anything had happened, and us too! Please stay safe and play safe and never near roads. We are so glad though that you are stopping beside your mom, and helping out at home. Having staff look after you is such fun, though they can be a trial too!

  3. Oh Nellie! Oh Marv!! What an adventure!! My heart was in my mouth! On the whole, Marv, I think you were very wise to run indoors!! Just think what could have happened!! *shudders* Moral to the story is, the devil on your shoulder isn’t always right, even if it is disguised as Nellie! MOL

OMC Marv – even I was breathless and heart-thumping for your mum as I read this… but I guess the only way to know you are onto a good thing is to leave that good thing behind. You were just lucky it wasn’t too far behind and you could make your back to it!!! Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx

  5. Oh my! That’s quite an adventure and rather scary too. Nellie Bellie I think maybe you were the ANGEL on Marv’s shoulder and not the devil – you gave him courage to come back home safely after his taste of freedom. Maybe you whispered “go for it” in the beginning but you guarded him while he was out in the world and you helped him return to the place he is SAFE, SECURE and loved forever. Angels have a little bit of the devil in them and when they’re as beautiful as you, who cares?!?! We think Marv knows TRULY that “there’s no place like home”. Thanks for the Spark dearest Nellie…….

    Hugs, Teddy

  8. So relieved Marv is safely home again. Men (brother, landlord, repairmen) are always leaving the front screen door open and scaring Jan! And we’re glad you got to go to the wedding!

  9. Marv, that waste of the most frightening things I have ever read in a blog. Thank heavens you found your way back to the house. You must have heard your mom’s voice from your porch where she sat and your toys’ sounds. I am so grateful! This had me scared just reading it. It’s a nightmare and your poor Mom has been through all kinds of terrible things. XXXXX

  10. We lost Chucky for about 9 hours once…have you ever heard the term ‘basket case’ Marv? Well, anyhoo, he showed up and you showed up, and me and your momma lost a year or two of life in worry!

  11. How terrifying! I would’ve been a wreck. But as you found out, Marv – it’s not so fun outside. I don’t know how I ever lived out there – but I’m so glad I don’t have to anymore! ~Bear Cat

  13. OMFP (Oh my furry paws!) That was a close call with the truck monster! Whew! I about spit up my noms when I started reading that story, Nellie! It makes me think of my short and brief escape today out the back door and into the grass. Maybe there was truck monster hiding in one of the bushes! That thought didn’t occur to me at the time! Tell Marv I’m so-o glad that he is SAFE! Purrs.

  14. Oh Marv, I knows how scared you were. I fell out of the window screen a while ago in the middle of the night and didn’t know how to get back in as my mommy was asleep. I’m glad she woke up and came looking for me and I’m so glad you are home safe also! Don’t listen to anyone who tells you to run out the door. It’s scary out there, isn’t it? And I know we both had enough time living wild outside to know that life is Hard! Luvz, Patzy

  15. As happens often we got behind in our reading. We’ll Marv, we know it was Nellie who tempted you to be naughty and explore the great outdoors. I am happy to find that I have a fellow adventurer; though, I think what you did was much more dangerous. All those scary trucks and cars. We are all very happy that you are home safely. Love and paws up, Sawyer Blue
