We are celebrating Crockett!
Mom was super busy last week at work trying to get ready to go to Midway and we did NOT read our furrends blogs. Mommy and Me and Ninja were heart broken when we read about Crockett on Sunday.
Angelique, Travis, Finley and Humans…we are so furry sad. Crockett was one of my heros! I so wish I could do raspberries like he did. We send you Love, Purrayers and Strength!
AND I was late for Finley’s Birthday!
I made her a card anyway.
And I thought I would share a few shots of Midway
This is me, looking at Kozmo – Me INSIDE – Kozmo OUTSIDE
Just to rub it in… they all came and STARED at Me INSIDE and Ninja, Kozmo and Cinnamon (and on the for right behind the door frame so you can’t see her) Jo Jo OUTSIDE — Thus the airplane ears.
I thought I’d show you WHY we have not posted this week!
I escaped and took off across the yard the morning we were going back to Richmond.
I bit Mom.
She went to the hospital after we got back home to Richmond and is back on antibiotics so she does NOT get osteomyelitis again. Mom had to go to the hospital for IV antibiotics for 3 days and now is taking 2 different antibiotics for a week. We are expecting we caught it in time, but because she had it before, it could be difficult to eradicate.
If your human gets a cat bite, they should see a physician as soon as possible. Most cat bite wounds are small punctures that drive pathogenic bacteria deep into the skin. Left untreated, a serious infection can develop within twenty-four to forty-eight hours.
Yes, I am sorry I bit Mom and I have been very loving to her since we got home. I follow her around and try to sit on her as much as possible.

Oh man, that’s awful that your human had to go through that! I know you were just doing what you do, Marv, so it’s not your fault.

Oh Marv! You can’t go biting your mum like that. It looks very painful and I hope it heals well without infection setting in, Barb.

We are so sorry that you felt upset enough to bite your Mom and we sure hope she doesn’t get super sick like last time – we are praying the IVs and treatment keep that bone infection from happening again. We know you did not mean to hurt her though – we know you love her and she loves you. It looks like you had a nice visit in Midway though. Sending POTP to Mom!
Love, Teddy and Pam

Oh Marv. Bless you. One day soon perhaps you will learn to curb that impulse. Barb, I am so so sorry this happened. Thank goodness you are getting the treatment you need for this immediately. Purrs and prayers and please let us know when you are able, how you are. Katie and I will be thinking of you each day. X

OMC! Concats, Marv, on your biting skills. Apparently your bite is much harder than mine or the human gets you at the wrong time. I’ll bet you really wanted to stay outside after seeing all those others taunting you. Sending healing purrz to your mom.

Oh no, you bit mom? Not good. I’m sure you’re sorry, but it still is an awful thing to do. I hope she’s okay this time.

You surprises me Marv! I didn’t know you were a biter! Then again, we do see lots of photos of you with your mouth wide open! Hope Barb doesn’t get infected again!!!

Good gracious! Do we have to muzzle you, Marv? Huh? Stop biting, okay!?! Hope your momma feels better, and that those medicines work.

Oh Marv – we are sorry to read that you bit Mom and she is on medicine again. But we also know that kitties can get veery upset. Our human has been bitten many times over the years, usually when she was trying to corral one of us. In fact, one day at the vet’s, Alexander bit Mom and the vet tech freaked out.( Mom was just glad he didn’t bite the vet tech !) And Mom’s own doctor just keeps giving her a tetanus shot every few years. So we hope your Mom is better soon !

Oh, your poor mom! Cat bites are so painful! Last time Jan had a cat bite (not by any of us), it tore a vein in a finger and she spent time in Emergency until the doctor could get the bleeding stopped. Please take good care of your mom and stop biting her!!!!!!

Oh Marv! We know you didn’t mean to bite your mom…and we purr that she heals quickly. The mom had a cat before us that bit her several times over the years and she ended up at the doctor office every time. She knows now that cat bites are not to be ignored.

Oh, Dear. We sure hope there will be no long term consequences from that nasty bite. Ouch. Sending a lot of pawyers and POTP.
Poor, Marv, you must have lots of left-over baggage to bite your Mom…Dalton has days when he reverts back to being all scared and unconfident too. Who knows why?
