A Horse, A Cat, A Box, A Sad and Friday Fill Ins

The Trout Towne Tabbies sent Mom a video of a cat who looks very much like Queen Penelope riding a horse!

We found it on YouTube so we could share it with you!

Is that not amazing! I bet that cat is Nellie’s cousin!

And Dad sent me a most wonderful Box!

I love it! I have been playing in it since it arrived on Tuesday. I even get up out of bed at night and I bring Ratty downstairs to play in it!

Oh Yes…This tunnel came with it…

But THE BOX ROCKS!!! Thanks Dad!!

Mom has had wet eyes for a couple of days now. We could not post about Mr Jack Freckles because it made her so sad! We send the Petrecary All our LOVE, Hugs and Strength!

MrJack and Minko copy

When we did the Fill In The Sentence Game, Minko and Mr Jack both won.  Minko’s was about rainbows and butterflies and Mom did a cartoon of him. To his cartoon, we added the cartoon we did of MJF dancing for his birthday! We are SURE that Minko was there greeting MJF and they were so very happy to be together again.

Now for  Week 92 Fill Ins! I am going to let Mom do them as she was in Calgary when they had the Olympics in 1988!

  1. The Winter Olympics will be exciting. They bring back all kinds of memories of the fun we had, the people from all over the world we met and trading pins! I still have them!
  2. I think the most romantic movie (or book) is the Princess Bride. I read the book when I was a teen and I’ve been in love with Wesley and Buttercup ever since. They even did a terrific movie of the book!
  3. Recently, I had an odd experience..I encountered a seal walking on the same path as me at Gary Point! (Alas I did not even think to take a picture!)
  4. I believe that love has a habit of coming back, usually in the most unexpected way!

Each Thursday, McGuffy’s Reader and of 15andmeowing, provide Friendly Fill-In statements. On Friday, they post their answers with a link-up and we are joining with our  responses.

  2. I didn’t know Mr Jack Freckles had gone to the Bridge although I knew his time was very close. I am very sad to hear of it. The picture of Minko greeting him is lovely.
The video of the cat and horse is lovely. I wish the horses here would load on their own like that!
Your new box looks like lots of fun, Marv. The tunnel looks good too.

Looks like you got a mighty fine travel tunnel from your Dad! You can visit everybody now……but you’re right – the best part is that perfect box! Room for you AND Ratty in there!! My Mom loves the Olympics in the winter time…..she will watch every minute she can!

    Hugs and love, Teddy

  6. That is a great video! Boxes are the best, aren’t they, Marv? It is very sad about Mr. Jack Freckles. It seems like there has been a lot of loss so far this year.

I did not have the honour of meeting Jack Freckles but can see that he had a wonderfurs group of pals and that he will be greatly missed. My condolence to all who miss him.

Am watching the winter Os opening ceremony as I type this – IMAGINE – North and South under one flag. A clear and simple message. Love and common-sense are all we need. Having lived in an Olympic city (Sydney) I know the sense of joy and unity it can bring. Getting it to persist is a much tougher task.

Marv, nothing beats a good box. The tri-tunnel might be fun though… Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx

  8. That is a great box! Amazon boxes usually are fine, but Purrseidon and Mr. M tend to prefer Chewy boxes…. they always seem to be able to pick out those Chewy boxes, too, so I wonder if they have a special scent.
So sorry to hear about Mr. Jack. I’ve always love a quote by C S Lewis, “You don’t have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body.” I’ve always taken that to mean our ‘real self’ is an eternal soul and when death occurs, it only happens to the vehicle we experience life through. IMHO, this is true for all life.

  12. I love your answers and the way you think. Thank you. You are definitely a bright spot, a Spark!

I wish I could see that seal just strolling along. That is so cool! I love how different things are more “normal” in some places, but so odd in others. Like kangaroos are so accepted Down Under. But, such a strange thought. And Hedge Hogs in the UK.

That is a very cool tunnel set! And box.

We are sad about your friend. Peace to all who loved him. And, HUGS.

  16. Oh, Marv & Mom Barb! Thanks so much for that sweet cartoon for MJF! He indeed will be cavorting with Minko as when they were both youngsters. He and Minko were purrty good pals! I will add your cartoon to a blog post soon. It sure is quiet around here, even though we have a Sir Barksalot in Dalton…and um..a Sir Peesalot, too. (He wee-wees when he is timid which is way too often…)
Pipo is needing tons of cuddles. He never begged for many of those…sigh…so he is getting them…yup, he is!
    Thanks again!
